School Starts tomorrow...
Well, back to school again. Maybe unlike others, I am excited to go back. See people again. Be in another play. Meet new teachers and all that stuff. What I like about my school, is that we don't even have classes on the first day. Well to get to my point I was going to point out some things that you might want for your back to school look this year (well at least girls and women). Different colored pants, especially RED. They give a spark to your outfit. A sort of youthful look while it's in a flattering skinny jean style. I already have gotten some red pants of my own from Urban Outfitters that cost $29.00 plus tax. Pleated skirts and dresses from an off white color to black with neon colored stripes. I got my pleated skirt at H&M and it cost around $22-$24.00 (I bought it in london, so I am not sure about the conversion). I also saw them being advertised in TeenVogue in the vintage collection part of the issue called "The Comeback Kids". I am not too sure if Vintage ever went out of style, but it surely is coming back.teenvogue.com/style/market/feature/2011/07/retro-inspired-looks#slide=3 I truly love getting 60's and 70's type of clothing, like bell bottoms, converse, and loose long sleeve blouses. I own a pair of yellow bell bottoms. I also have a striped v-neck that I can put with it and it makes me feel like I'm Jan Brady from "The Brady Bunch". I will hope to post a picture of it. I hope everyone has a great first day of school. C'ya later!

My First Blog Post
Ok so this is my first blog. I don't really have a main reason to start it. I thought in this first post I would introduce myself. Why hello there! My name is Katie, originally Katherine (and still is), but I don't like to be called that. I have a sister whose name is Alice. I also have 3 cats Snoopy (the youngest), Wallie (the middle), and Duchess (the elder). And my parents are not divorced, though it seems so many are these days. I live in Alabama, yeah the south, but I'd say I don't have a southern accent. I love glee, Harry Potter, and Narnia. I like history, maybe I will major in it some day. I also like acting, but most of my acting career has been at my school, where I have tried to be in as many plays as possible. I am also in my schools choir and chamber choir. I take piano lessons. I really hope to be able to play broadway songs from heart someday. I also want to live in England when I am older. I'd really like to go to college there too, preferably Oxford. I just visited it and fell in love, but I've had this dream for awhile. I also had cancer when I was younger and left me with a limp. I try to live my life and raise awareness of it. I support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, because my dad runs in the Team in Training races and is a coach. I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota moved to Memphis, Tennessee and then moved to Peachtree City Georgia and finally came to Alabama. Well gotta go, C'ya later!
