Ok so I was reading an article in Buzzfeed (I mean aren't we all these days) and they had an "article" about how they loved all the clothes Baby wore in the 80's movie Dirty Dancing and wished they were in style. All I was thinking was this person must be living under a rock! I don't mean to offend those who are challenged when it comes to fashion, but for the last 2-3 years I have wanted and seen in stores everything they have talked about. All of these styles in DD are actually in style right now (except for the tights with leotard), but people are using leotards to wear with shorts or skirts now to give that clean look instead of trying to tuck your shirt in and leaving all those wrinkles that can be very unflattering. Also everyone is wearing crop tops with high waisted shorts and shirts that tie in the front and long flowy skirts which seem to always fade in and out of fashion throught the decades (you could even say centuries) and oversized sweaters! Oh my god did you not see all those oversized sweaters in Urban Outfitters and other stores last Winter and Fall! I own an oversized sweater that has come back from the 90's grunge revitalization. I just think if anyone is going to write about fashion professionally (even websites like Buzzfeed) they need to get someone who knows their stuff before they let someone write about a subject that requires an awareness of what's going on in the world. No one pays me to write but I at least follow one rule of writing. Write what you know.

Red, the blood of angry men! Black, the dark of ages past!
Ok so this isn't about Les Miserables, but I really do need some new red and black pants. I mean I have some, but my red pants end right above my ankles (doesn't really keep me warm in the winter) and my black ones must have shrunk or I have stretched, because they seem extremely tight. Something absolutely magnificent to add to your Christmas list is a French Revolution mixed with Civil war coat or jacket. They can be very slimming and just awesome with all those buttons lined up in the front. I suggest you find something that actually doesn't require too much buttoning, but sometimes one has to sacrifice for fashion. Actually there's a lot of this multiple buttons on a garment thing going on, I mean some of those high waisted jeans have at least 5 buttons to button. I would suggest to avoid pairing multiple button garments together or you may look like a walking pin cushion. Once again I am wishing for sweaters for Christmas, lots of them. But I have also been kind of obsessed about getting a Polaroid camera. It's really disappointing how much the film costs for a Polaroid camera and it only produces 10 shots in one cartridge. I could get a used Polaroid camera for less money than a cartridge of film. Well with all the hipsters out there (I don't think I'm a hipster) I'm hoping that pharmacies will realize they need to start selling the film and at a lower price than what's offered right now (around $25-30). Well I hope everyone has a nice holiday! C'ya later!

Aaaah Summer! Oh and I got a gingham dress!
So summer just started for me and is going to be nonstop! I am going to 2 different camps, one of them for the last time as a camper :( (I'm growing up!) and Switzerland and I am going to TRY to volunteer at my local Zoo if I find time between getting my license, writing my musical, catching up on some fun reading books, visiting colleges, voice lessons, and hanging out with friends. On a less busier side I got a gingham dress! Woohoo! I got it from modcloth because I could not find any in any stores nearby nor could I find it online somewhere else or at least the type I wanted. It was around $55-60 but it was worth it, because I can't wait to wear it! I guess I'll pair it with my converse or one of my new pairs of sandals that I recently got and have fallen in love with ( I have never had a relationship with sandals before so this is new to me). Sandals usually don't like me because my feet don't go straight comfortably and sometimes they hang off the edge or they might rub against my ankle too much, but these are nice and gentle towards my feet ( as long as I don't hang out with them too long and I don't get too clingy then they're fine with me. Right now I am packing for camp and I always don't know how much to pack, like do I pack my weight in t-shirts or mix it up with some nice tank tops and blouses? Or like a combination of print shirts and t-shirts? I never know and end up packing twice as much as I need and only having to wash half of my suitcases capacity and just putting away half or just washing stuff that got dirty from the worn stuff that I never wore. But then again I want to look half way decent and sometimes cute, so I have to pack for that too. I mean I am not going to camp to get a boyfriend but you know anything can happen and you want guys to at least think you're cute too. Switzerland is going to be a whole different story where almost everything I am bringing to camp I will be able to leave at home and some places in Switzerland are going to maybe below freezing. Then somedays it might be in the high sixties so what am I supposed to do there? Ok well that's enough for today of the thoughts inside of my head. I hope everyone has a nice summer or you know this time of the year if you are on the other side of the equator. C'ya later!

The Laid Back Farm Girl
In honor of hipsters and my recent obsession of gingham (which only started a few minutes ago) I am proposing the look of the laid back farm girl. Now I know that's almost an oxymoron, but the farm girl is only laid back because we the people who might wear this style will not be working as hard as a real farm girl. Also to transition from hipster to farm girl one must not seem too excited about it or else one will never have been pronounced as a hipster, so one must be a laid back farm girl. A cute fitting gingham dress with your choice of converse, vans, Mary Janes, sandals, or flip flops. I have yet to try this style out yet, but I am just too excited to start looking for a gingham dress. May I suggest you look for one in blue, yellow, or red? These colors will look the best and be good for summer time. If one does not know what gingham is it is the pattern that Dorothy wears on her dress in the Wizard of Oz. If one does not know what the Wizard of Oz is I suggest you go and watch it right now. Have a nice summer, this hopefully will not be my last before summer is over so I hope to C'ya later!

I Love Sweaters
I am obsessed with sweaters these days. All I want for Christmas is sweaters! But of course not ordinary sweaters, though I still like some of those, I really want unique ones that have animal patterns or as my German friend says "Nordic" patterned. Modcloth has some awesome ones, but who knew sweaters could cost so much. And not just am I obsessed with unique sweaters, they are also really in right now with that whole hipster look. Not that I would want to be a hipster, it's just that everyone else wants to be and I admire some of their fashion choices. Something I beg of you to stay away from this winter season are ponchos. Just because they sell them in stores does not mean they you should buy one. Ever since ponchos were in around 2003 (yeah I know I was only in like 2nd grade) I never thought that they looked good on people. I will hopefully post again before Christmas, so c'ya later!
